What they are

When, Dr. Jack Masquelier and his team were still at the helm of analyzing 'their' products, they not only applied the analytical methods regarded as state-of-the-art at any given moment during the long history of the products. In the absence of the modern cutting-edge techniques used in today's laboratories, they also trusted their intuition and profound understanding of the gentle phytonutrients that became known as oligomeric proanthocyanidins or OPCs. When Masquelier first isolated OPCs in 1947, trying to understand what is was that he had isolated all he had at his disposition were some 'clues' that came to his inquisitive mind. It was more by way of deduction, following his isolation methods, than by way of analyzing that he drew conclusions about the composition of his products.

From Masquelier's early days, elucidating OPCs reads like a history book that describes the evolution of analytical methods. With every new method a new domain in the OPCs puzzle was brought to light. Amazingly, practically all of what Masquelier had intuitively concluded by way of deduction, was confirmed step by step by better and better analytical methods. Even with today's refined and advanced analytical methods applied by the independent laboratories with whom INC works on a day-to-day basis, the pieces of the puzzle continue to fit Masquelier's work and insight.

ANTHOGENOL®, isolated from Vitis vinifera is the authentic French compound known as MASQUELIER's® Original OPCs and FLAVAN®, isolated from Pinus maritima  is the original MASQUELIER's® French Pine Bark Complex.

What they do

MASQUELIER's® products have been scientifically proven to provide several health benefits but are best known for their antioxidant effects and their benefits on vascular function. These activities are attributed to the specific sets of OPCs and (epi-)catechins respectively found in MASQUELIER's® Original OPCs (ANTHOGENOL®) and in MASQUELIER's® French Pine Bark Complex (FLAVAN®). Which is not to say that what the MASQUELIER's® products do may freely be attributed to any generic product that is labelled as 'OPC', but lacks the MASQUELIER's® trademark and logo. In no way may that what the MASQUELIER's® products do be attributed to 'grape seed extracts'.

INC actively maintains ever evolving scientific Structure & Function Dossiers, that outline what MASQUELIER's® products do and what they bring to human health. In view of all the benefits the products are capable of providing, it will not surprise the reader that the dossiers present an impressive number of statements of nutritional support ('Health Claims').

What they bring

In fact, what the MASQUELIER's® products bring in terms of human health is easiest to explain. The problem is ….., you guessed right. Bringing a lot to a lot of different consumers also brings up a communication problem. For the untrained eye it is not so easy to grasp why the MASQUELIER's® products so efficiently cover such an encompassing range of seemingly unrelated fields of health. The Authentic MASQUELIER's® Products

The original MASQUELIER's® branded products are authenticated exclusively by International Nutrition Company (INC) of Loosdrecht, The Netherlands. They originate from no other source than INC, the owner of the MASQUELIER's® brand. INC also oversees and ensures the consistent quality of the MASQUELIER's® branded products.

Prof. Dr. Jack Masquelier gave INC the exclusive right to register and use his personal name as a trademark to distinguish the MASQUELIER's® products so as to establish and maintain a direct link with more than 50 years of scientific research. In addition, Dr. Masquelier gave INC the exclusive right to use his name, signature and portait on and in relation with INC's MASQUELIER's® products. Consumers find these elements incorporated in the logo presented herewith.

INC herewith gives public notice that the use of Dr. Masquelier's name and/or the term 'OPC' to promote products that do not clearly and visibly bear INC's name and the MASQUELIER's® trademark and logo, is no guarantee that a product contains MASQUELIER's® Original OPCs or extracts that produce the researched and well documented nutritional benefits of MASQUELIER's® products.

Only the products authenticated and trademarked by INC as MASQUELIER's® and bearing the portrait, name and signature of Dr. Masquelier as well, are the original products that were invented, researched and developed by Dr. Masquelier.
